Statement: Michelle Wu on MassDOT’s Decision to Move Forward with Allston At-Grade I-90 Project

Boston, MA— The following statement can be attributed to Boston City Councilor and Mayoral Candidate Michelle Wu:

“MassDOT’s decision to move forward with the at-grade I-90 design is a win for our neighborhoods and the many community leaders and activists who have been advocating for mobility and sustainability. This project is a generational opportunity to repair the harms of the past and connect our communities, and we still have much more to do to ensure the transportation and development plans match community needs. 

Boston’s next Mayor must take an active role in leading the charge for infrastructure investments and regional partnerships to lay the foundation for mobility and resilience for Bostonians now and in the future,” said Michelle Wu.
